Barry Gray believes Warrenpoint Town will still be playing Premiership football next term.

The Co Down side face a play-off for survival after Darren King's header was cancelled out by a last-gasp Dungannon Swifts equaliser from Jamie Glackin - a strike which ensured the hosts' safety and condemned Warrenpoint to a nervy shoot-out.

However, Gray is optimistic about their chances of staying up.

"I'm very confident we can do it - no doubt about it," he insisted. "It is not like a cup final scenario, it's not one game where you pin everything on 90 minutes.

"It is a two-legged affair and if we can't beat any Championship side over two games, then we shouldn't be here."

Warrenpoint knew that only victory at Stangmore Park would have kept alive their faint hopes of avoiding a play-off and were seconds away from achieving that objective until Glackin's intervention.

Gray added: "We were under pressure in the second half.

"We had a lot of the play in the first half, they had a lot of it in the second period.

"Even if we had won it wouldn't have changed the complexion of things."
