Mullen makes perfect start for Swifts
Coleraine 1-2 Dungannon
Teenage debutant Conor Mullen handed Dungannon Swifts boss Darren Murphy the ideal 40th birthday present with a late winner at Coleraine.
Mullen's plundered victory with his first touch four minutes from the end to put the Swifts into ninth place in the table ahead of Ballinamallard United, who crashed to a heavy 7-0 defeat at Warrenpoint Town.
Andrew Mitchell headed the opener for Dungannon in the first half. Substitute Gary Browne levelled for the Bannsiders 10 minutes from the end, but young Mullen came off the bench to replace Jamie Douglas and ended up stretching the Swifts unbeaten run at the Showgrounds to five games.
Oran Kearney's Coleraine have now failed to win in their last six matches.
Bannsiders winger Shane McGinty twice went close in the early stages, offering hope of better things for the home side.
However, Grant Hutchinson's storming run took him past Lyndon Kane and Mitchell rose to glance home his sixth goal of the season after 26 minutes.
Coleraine midfielder Neil McCafferty sent a free kick over the bar before the home side finally hauled themselves back into it on 80 minutes.
Transfer-listed striker Browne came on to turn keeper Michael Doherty's long clearance past Swifts' stopper Andy Coleman, but Coleraine celebrations were short-lived as six minutes later Mullen stole the show from close range.
