Adams named as new Portsmouth manager

Tony Adams has been officially named as Portsmouth's new manager today.

The former Arsenal and England defender takes over from Harry Redknapp, who left to join Tottenham over the weekend.

Adams was in temporary charge along with Joe Jordan for Sunday's 1-1 draw with Fulham.

His first game as permanent boss will be Wednesday's clash with Arsenal.
