Andy Carroll's injury timeline

Andy Carroll's injury jinx has struck again with the West Ham striker facing a further spell on the sidelines with an adductor injury.

The 27-year-old has been plagued by a succession of problems since joining the Hammers on a permanent deal from Liverpool in summer 2013 after a previous loan.

Here, Press Association Sport looks at his West Ham injury timeline.

May 2013

Suffers heel injury during final game of season-long loan at Upton Park, a problem that means he missed start of following campaign.

September 2013

Breaks foot again soon after returning to training, delaying his first appearance of the 2013-14 campaign until January.

July 2014

Tears ankle ligaments, ruling him out until November.

February 2015

Requires major knee surgery after tearing ligaments and does not play again until September.

December 2015

Misses two games with groin injury.

January 2016

Hamstring injury forces him out for a month.

February 2016

Suffers adductor injury after coming off the bench in Premier League game at Norwich.
