Arsenal v Borussia Dortmund

Arsenal started with Yaya Sanogo in attack for Wednesday night's Champions League Group D clash with leaders Borussia Dortmund at the Emirates Stadium.

Danny Welbeck was out with a knee injury and France forward Olivier Giroud - who scored on his return from a broken leg in the 2-1 Barclays Premier League defeat to Manchester United - was ineligible after not being included in Arsenal's orginal European squad.

Goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny had a hip injury so third-choice Emiliano Martinez played, while midfielder Jack Wilshere (ankle) was also sidelined along with England forward Theo Walcott (groin). Defender Laurent Koscielny was on the bench after recovering from an Achilles problem.

Dortmund - who held a "pre-warm-up" training session on the pitches at Regent's Park earlier on Wednesday - are already through to the last 16 and in pole position to win the group.

German international Marco Reus was missing through an ankle injury. Kevin Grosskreutz came into midfield, with Ciro Immobile and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang offering the attacking threat for the Germans, who are in the bottom three of the Bundesliga.
