Philippe Coutinho starred in Liverpool's win at Arsenal

Petr Cech: No chance with Coutinho's free-kick. But does not often let in four so will not be happy - 5/10

Nacho Monreal: Tried to get up and down the left as usual but had his hands full dealing with Mane - 5

Calum Chambers: Had to take the role of experienced centre-half. Surprise scorer as Arsenal threatened a comeback - 6

Rob Holding: Gave away soft free-kick for equaliser and missed Coutinho's run for his second. Tough debut - 5

Hector Bellerin: Last-ditch challenge to deny Firmino typified his usual no-nonsense attitude - 6

Francis Coquelin: Did not shirk the battle in the centre of the pitch but was unable to get a grip on midfield - 6

Mohamed Elneny: Looked lost in Arsenal's midfield and did little of note - 5

Aaron Ramsey: Quiet match for Wales' Euro 2016 hero. Ambitious shot from his own half flew over - 5

Alexis Sanchez: Looked the player most likely to create something for the first half an hour, then disappeared - 5

Alex Iwobi: Fine ball across the penalty area to set up Walcott. But faded after the break - 6

Theo Walcott: Saw penalty saved by Mignolet but made amends moments later with a superb finish to open his account - 6

Granit Xhaka: New boy was unable to help engineer a dramatic Gunners comeback - 6

Simon Mignolet: Good save to keep out Walcott's penalty but will not be too pleased with Oxlade-Chamberlain's goal - 7

Nathaniel Clyne: Defensively sound as ever and provided the cross for Coutinho's killer second goal - 7

Dejan Lovren: Won his aerial battles but yet to convince when the opposition runs at Liverpool's defence - 6

Ragnar Klaven: Beaten by Walcott's quick feet for the first goal, but stuck to his task well as Arsenal came back - 6

Alberto Moreno: Dismal couple of minutes saw him give away a penalty, and then lose Walcott for Arsenal's opener. A liability - 3

Georginio Wijnaldum: Should have done better with side-footed finish in the first half but set up Lallana's goal - 7

Jordan Henderson: Stood firm as Arsenal threatened to complete their late comeback. Solid as ever in the tackle - 7

Adam Lallana: England midfielder looked off the pace in the first half but popped up with a vital goal - 6

Philippe Coutinho: Ran Arsenal ragged, scoring a sublime free-kick and an opportunist near-post strike - 8

Sadio Mane: Hard-working display on his debut capped by a memorable goal and celebrations to match - 7

Roberto Firmino: Led the Liverpool line diligently although did not see as much of the ball as he would have liked - 6
