Barca buying back Deulofeu from Everton to sell him on for a profit
Barcelona have activated the buy-back clause in Everton ace Gerard Deulofeu's contract.
The Spain U21 captain was not part of Everton boss Ronald Koeman's plans last season and went on loan to AC Milan.
It is understood Barcelona had until today to activate the clause, which will cost them £10.5m, and Deulofeu, 23, will sign a two-year contract.
The Catalan giants sold their La Masia graduate to the Toffees for £4.3m in 2015.
"FC Barcelona have activated the buy-back clause for Gerard Deulofeu," said a Barca statement. "In the following days the terms will be agreed."
Deulofeu left the Nou Camp for a loan spell at Goodison Park in 2013-14, scoring four goals in 29 appearances. Then Toffees manager Roberto Martinez brought him back permanently in 2015.
He is not guaranteed a place in the Barca first team and may well be loaned out with a view to a permanent move in order for Barcelona to make money on a player they have developed since the age of nine.
