Bournemouth have signed Italy youth international Alessandro Cannataro on a one-year contract, subject to international clearance.

He will join the club's under-21 squad after spending the past two weeks on trial, during which he featured in three games.

The former Inter Milan midfielder, who also had a trial with Claudio Ranieri's Leicester, will join fellow recent signings Filippo Costa, also of Italy, and Argentine Tomas Andrade in the under-21s.

"The way of playing and of training (in England) would be perfect for me," Cannataro said last month.

"They always give 100 per cent, always concentrated and give their best in every match. This is what suits me best."
