Bruce is almighty keen to keep Wigan's focus

Wigan manager Steve Bruce is keen for his players’ focus not to be distracted by the pending visit of Manchester United next week.

There is a possibility United could be able to retain their Barclays Premier League title at the JJB Stadium on Wednesday if results go their way in the interim.

It means the match has taken on huge significance.

However, Wigan first have to go to West Brom, at the other end of the table, tomorrow looking to end a run of four matches without a win.

"We’ve only won two out of the last 14 games and we always knew our fixtures at the back end of the season would be difficult," said Bruce, a former United defender.
