Kante to Chelsea: reports Leicester midfielder to join Conte's Blues
Chelsea look set to splash the cash once again with reports they have sealed a £32m deal for Leicester's title winning talisman N'Golo Kante.
Kante has been heavily linked with a move to join the 2015 Premier League champions, with Blues boss Antonio Conte keen to rebuild his the midfield he has inherited at Stamford Bridge after the club's disastrous title defence last season.
While Leicester are eager to hang on to Kante and have offered the French midfielder a new contract, he has hinted that a move away from the Foxes may be his preference this summer.
Paris Saint-Germain, Arsenal and Chelsea are the three teams that have been mentioned as possible destinations, with Sky Sports among those now reporting a deal is in place for Kante to join Chelsea.
Blues boss Conte refused to discuss possible transfer target when he met the media for the first time this week, yet Kante is the kind of hard working player who would fit into his team.
Now the fine details on a move are being discussed, with Leicester reluctantly agreeing to sell the player who has a buy-out clause in his current contract.
Wish Kanté well and thank him dearly. He's the main reason Leicester won the title and will make a massive difference to Chelsea's chances.— Gary Lineker (@GaryLineker) July 15, 2016
