Delphi ready to repay Aston Villa's faith

Aston Villa's new signing Fabian Delph has vowed to repay the club for his big money move from Leeds.

Delph, who also hailed Martin O'Neill as one of the best managers in the business, signed from Leeds in a fee that could reach £8million.

The 19-year-old midfielder told AVTV: "They've gone out of their way and paid quite a lot of money and hopefully I can pay them back by doing well.

"I think I have got every single part of my football to develop and he is one of the best managers in the world. So hopefully he can help me and I can progress and push on.

"I'm going to work as hard as possible and if I get the chance I'll take it. If I don't then I've got nobody to blame but myself.

"I haven't come expecting to play, I've come to work as hard as possible and try to create my own luck."
