Football rumours from the media

WHAT THE PAPERS SAY

Only one of ARSENE WENGER and ANTONIO CONTE will be celebrating FA Cup success on Saturday night but both will soon be awarded new contracts, according to the Mirror.

Under-pressure Arsenal boss Wenger is reportedly set to sign a two-year deal to keep him at the Emirates Stadium regardless of the result at Wembley.

Whether that will please Arsenal fans or not remains to be seen, but Chelsea supporters will definitely be happy to learn Premier League-winning manager Conte could soon be signing a £9.6million-a-year deal to keep him at Stamford Bridge until 2021.

It's not just managers that are being offered new contracts. The Sun claims ALEXIS SANCHEZ has been offered £270,000 a week to extend his stay at Arsenal.

Manchester City made the first big move in the transfer market on Friday with the signing of Bernardo Silva from Monaco, and the Independent reports another player may soon be swapping the principality for the north-west.

Left-back BENJAMIN MENDY is apparently the next target for City, who could also move for Tottenham's KYLE WALKER.

Liverpool could be another team to splash the cash. A club-record £50million will be enough to sign RB Leipzig midfielder NABY KEITA, according to the Mirror.
