Everton midfielder Francisco Junior has joined Stromsgodset on a permanent transfer after failing to establish himself at Goodison Park.

The 24-year-old Portuguese midfielder joined on a free transfer four years ago but managed just one solitary first-team appearance in the Capital One Cup defeat at Leeds in September 2012 when he was withdrawn at half-time.

Francisco had a number of loan spells, including a period with Stromsgodset in February 2014, and after 12 appearances for League One Wigan earlier this season he had moved to Norway full-time.
