No-nonsense Pep Guardiola accepts his star striker Sergio Aguero could be banned from the Manchester derby after appearing to elbow West Ham's Winston Reid during yesterday's 3-1 victory for City.

The Manchester City boss initially claimed he did not see the incident, but then conceded Aguero could face retrospective action and a three match suspension including that huge clash with Jose Mourinho's men on September 10.

Guardiola said: "I didn't see so I cannot comment. Hopefully nothing happens. If it happens, we accept and adapt."

West Ham midfielder Mark Noble suggested Reid's speech was affected by the blow.
