Manchester United keen on PSG duo, Keita's agent meets Liverpool in Hong Kong as bid rejected and other transfer rumours

Manchester United have joined Barcelona in the hunt for PSG's Italian midfielder MARCO VERRATTI.

Spanish outlet Sport have said that the star is recruiting agent Mino Raiola, who is known for his links to Old Trafford. Raiola looked after Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan's moves to United and could now play a part in seeing Verratti follow in their footsteps.

The news comes as the Daily Mirror report United's pursuit of Spurs star ERIC DIER is at an end. The club have also been linked with PSG defender SERGE AURIER by recent reports in the Express. They say the Ivory Coast international has been deemed surplus to requirements at the French club.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have had a second bid for NABY KEITA turned down by Red Bull Leipzig.

The Reds initially submitted a £57 million offer for the midfielder but that and a new £66 million bid have both been rejected by his German club.

“We don’t sell any of our players just to get money,” Leipzig owner Dietrich Mateschitz told Sportbild.

“Lately we got a 75million Euros offer for Naby Keïta. No way! He has a contract and he will accomplish it.

“To sell him would not only be a proof of distrust to our fans but also the wrong sign for our players like Timo Werner, who is in demand too.”

It has been a confusing transfer saga and today's reports muddy the waters even further, given the Guardian report that Keita's agent is in Hong Kong, where Liverpool are playing in a pre-season tournament. The paper says that the representative is there to discuss whether the Reds will make a third offer for his man.

ROSS BARKLEY is demanding a whopping £150,000 a week to join Tottenham, reports the Mirror.

The Everton midfielder, whose future looks certain to be away from Goodison Park, has been linked with a move to Spurs, but he wants to be paid more than Harry Kane if he is to join.

Barkley's potential arrival at the north London club could pave the way for MOUSSA SISSOKO to leave.

The Daily Mail are reporting that the £30million midfielder is keen to leave Spurs, who must foot some of the bill to get him out of the club.

Brazilian website Esporte Interativo are claiming that NEYMAR has agreed to join Paris St Germain after a £195million deal was agreed between the French club and Barcelona. The Ligue 1 runners-up are distancing themselves from the deal, though, according to L'Equipe.

MARKO ARNAUTOVIC looks set to get his move away from Stoke, with the Sun reporting that a £24million deal with West Ham has been agreed.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has signed a new deal and he wants to celebrate by signing a new left-back. The Daily Star is reporting that Conte is eyeing up potential moves for Monaco's BENJAMIN MENDY or Southampton's RYAN BERTRAND.
