Manchester United to bid for Silva

Manchester United are ready to make a move for Valencia’s Spanish sensation David Silva.
Sir Alex Ferguson is a long time admirer of the 23-year-old playmaker and would love to bring him to Old Trafford before the Premier League kicks off next weekend.
Silva is expected to play at the Theatre of Dreams in a friendly tomorrow night and an impressive performance will only further enhance Ferguson’s desire to sign him.
Liverpool are also believed to be interested in Silva and of course both Ferguson and Anfield boss Rafael Benitez would love to bring his Valencia team-mate David Villa to their respective clubs, though the Spanish club insist that the £40 million rated forward is staying put.
Earlier in the summer Ferguson stated that his spending for the close season was done with Real Madrid and Manchester City taking prices through the roof.
But Ferguson would feel buying Silva for £20 million would represent excellent value and give United a world class player.
While most United fans have total trust in Ferguson, some have been alarmed at the lack of transfer activity, especially since proven match winners Cristiano Ronaldo and Carlos Tevez have moved to Real and City respectively.
