Luke Shaw has confirmed that he has joined Manchester United from Southampton.
Shaw was part of England's ill-fated World Cup campaign, and started the final Group D match against Uruguay to get his first taste of action in Brazil, although the final score was a disappointing 0-0 with Costa Rica.
Having returned to England on Wednesday, Shaw arrived at United's Carrington training headquarters to undergo a medical, and despite an official announcement yet to come from the club, Shaw has changed his Twitter account to confirm he is no longer a Southampton player.
The 18-year-old, who will celebrate his birthday next month, is believed to have cost in excess of £30m, meaning he is the most expensive teenager to complete a transfer in the history of football around the globe.
Having been linked with both Chelsea and United over the past season, the Red Devils have clearly won the race for one of the most highly-rated teenagers around the world.
