Manchester United make swoop to net Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Manchester United are set to complete the signing of Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic after it was revealed that the player was in talks with the club over a one-year deal.
It is understood that representatives from United are meeting with the player's agent with both parties keen to complete a deal before Sweden's first game of the Euros against the Republic of Ireland on June 13.
Ibrahimovic (34), had announced at the start of May that he would be leaving current club Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season with United his rumoured destination.
Ibrahimovic would become Jose Mourinho's first signing since the Portuguese manager replaced Louis van Gaal at Old Trafford and will link up with his former boss having worked with him at Inter Milan.
This comes as more good news for United fans after goalkeeper David de Gea reaffirmed his commitment to see out the remainder of his three-year deal with the club.
