Newcastle announce ticket price reductions
Newcastle have reduced season ticket prices by 10 per cent after persuading Rafael Benitez to take on the challenge of leading the club back into the Barclays Premier League.
Two days after getting the answer they wanted from the 56-year-old Spaniard, the Magpies announced across-the-board reductions in the hope of filling St James' Park next season.
Managing director Lee Charnley said: "With our future under Rafa now secured, we're delighted to announce price reductions across the board for all supporters.
"Your loyalty through these challenging time has been magnificent and it's right that we now reward you with savings for our 16/17 Championship season."
The reductions mean that category two season ticket holders will pay £520 compared with last season's £578, meaning that, with four extra home fixtures taken into account, the cost of watching a game has gone down from £30 to around £23.
In the club's family area, under-18s will be charged the equivalent of £3 per game and adults around £14.
