Roberts: Time is up at Ewood
Blackburn striker Jason Roberts admits his time at Ewood Park is almost certainly over.
Roberts was left out of the squad for Rovers' recent pre-season trip to Scotland and the 32-year-old has reached a mutual agreement with the club that his future lies elsewhere.
"It looks like I will be leaving the club," Roberts told the Lancashire Telegraph.
"We have had discussions and mutually agreed it is time to move on.
"It was decided that I wouldn't be travelling with the team to Scotland and I haven't been involved in the last few games now.
"I have no preconceived ideas about what will happen next and it would be wrong to talk about anything until there is something officially happening.
"All I can say is we have reached a mutual decision where if there is a chance for me to move on then we would like to take that up. We will have to wait and see what happens."
Blackburn boss Sam Allardyce has already invited bids for Roberts, who insists he has no problem with the manager or his attempts to re-jig Rovers' forward line for the new season.
"If the manager wants to go in a different direction, which it seems he does, then I am comfortable with that," Roberts said.
"I still feel I have a lot of good years left in me so we will just see what will happen. There is no problem as such, we have just come to a mutual decision.
