The Dalai Lama will address young people in Manchester on Saturday

Comedian Russell Brand has revealed he wants to ask the Dalai Lama a question or two about football as he prepares to act as a host for the Tibetan spiritual leader during a upcoming visit.

Brand, 37, revealed that though he will seek answers to a few typical questions on the meaning of life, he also wants to know if his beloved West Ham team will avoid relegation.

The 76-year-old Dalai Lama will this Saturday address young people in Manchester where Brand said he wants answers to the questions “Why are we here?” Why are we alive?” and “What is love?”

Brand added, according to the Daily Mirror: “I want to know all that. Also, can West Ham stay up?”
