Shay Given is released by Stoke City
Former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given is a free agent after he was released by Stoke City.
The 41 year-old goalkeeper has been let go along with five other players after making just five appearances in last season's Premier League campaign.
The final one of those came in September in what could see the end of Given's 21 year association with the Premier League.
Also leaving the club are fellow goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann and U23 players Liam Edwards, Harry Isted, Joel Taylor and George Waring.
Irish midfielder Stephen Ireland, recovering from a double leg break, has been offered a new deal while Phil Bardsley and Geoff Cameron have both signed new contracts at the club.
