Super Manchester City are pepped up... but United flop
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola showered praise on his young guns after they shot down West Ham. But there was frustration for Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho after his side were held 0-0 by Hull City at Old Trafford, missing their chance to make up ground on the top four.
Gabriel Jesus, Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling sparkled in a 4-0 Premier League win at the London Stadium, a few weeks after City's 5-0 FA Cup win on the same ground.
"We played a front three with an average age of 20," said Guardiola after watching Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva, Gabriel Jesus and Yaya Toure slot in the goals. "I like the fans to be excited. Those players are the future of the club."
Frustrated Mourinho told a reporter: "If you do not know football, you should not have a microphone in your hand."
