In Pictures: Arsenal's potential transfer targets
Saturday, 12 December 2009

Gregory van der Wiel
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger originally sent his scouts to Ajax to look at centre-half Thomas Vermaelen, and his £10m raid ended up pretty well. But the right back van der Wiel also caught the eye, and has now broken into the Dutch national team.. He is also reported to have admirers in Italy (Juventus) and Spain (Atletico Madrid) and would cost someone around £7m
While Arsenal can out-pass any team, can they always out-tackle and out-score them?

Arsene Wenger is never a big spender, and even less so in the January transfer window, but as the opportunity to buy pops up again in January just who will he be looking to snap up?

Jimmy - a disappointing article; probably untrue. How about an article about a new striker for Arsenal?
