Rangers grab victory in fund raiser
Rangers overcame Linfield 2-0 in their challenge match at Windsor Park courtesy of goals from Alejandro Bedoya and teenage debutant Barrie McKay.
The specially arranged friendly was organised to help raise funds for the administration-hit Ibrox club.
Ally McCoist reshuffled his side for the trip to Belfast, with Northern Ireland under-21 international Chris Hegarty making his first start for the club.
Neil Alexander took over from Allan McGregor in goal with Northern Ireland striker David Healy making a rare appearance.
The visitors broke the deadlock 10 minutes after the break when Lee McCulloch played the ball through to Bedoya who scored with the deftest of chips.
McCoist then threw on 17-year-old McKay for his debut in place of Maurice Edu and he struck a fine shot to make it 2-0 and complete a dream debut.
