Ronaldo wants to go fourth and multiply
Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo set himself the target of retaining his status as the world's best player after winning the Ballon d'Or for a fourth time last night.
The 31-year-old, who held off long-time rival Lionel Messi from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann for the accolade, has enjoyed an incredible 2016 having helped his club Real win the Champions League and country Portugal claim the European Championship in France.
Ronaldo said: "It is a great honour to receive my fourth Golden Ball. The emotion is like the first one, it is the dream come true again.
"I love to play football, so I will try my best, work hard as always and try to win it (Ballon d'Or) again next year."
