The victory for Hibs in the Edinburgh derby on Sunday was only their second SPL win of the calendar year.

It's been an alarming slump for the side managed by Pat Fenlon considering they were top of the table in early November.

The Hibs fans will hope Sunday's win with a youthful looking side will be the catalyst for a potential shock Scottish Cup success over Celtic at the end of the month. Beating Hearts hasn't been as regular as the Easter Road side would have liked over recent years.

It was just their first league win against their city rivals in 14 attempts which for a club of Hibs' stature frankly is not good enough.

A third successive season in the bottom six is not where Hibs should be so I suspect another summer of upheaval and new arrivals.
