Crosas yearning to see Old Firm action

Published 11/02/2009

Marc Crosas has staked his claim for a place in Celtic’s midfield in Sunday’s Old Firm derby by claiming he can become Scott Brown’s perfect partner.

Crosas, 21, has yet to play a part in the Scottish game’s showpiece fixture since joining the Hoops from Barcelona in the summer.

The Catalan is desperate to make it third time lucky, but knows he faces stiff competition for a berth alongside Brown, who will be a certain starter..

Crosas said: "Scott Brown is a very, very important player, who works very hard and gives his all in every single game. For me, it is a pleasure to play with him.

"Some people say that our play and characteristics compliment each other and maybe we will become a great partnership."
