McGinn moving in right direction for Celtic

Published 14/05/2010

Niall McGinn is determined to ensure that the wide-right position is one that Celtic's new manager will not be looking to bolster before the new season begins.

McGinn and his agent, Gerry Carlile, were joined in Belfast last night for the opening of their new restaurant, Failte, by several members of the Hoops' squad, including Aiden McGeady, Paddy McCourt, Cillian Sheridan, Jos Hooiveld, Darren O'Dea and Marc Crosas.

“We have to be back on July 1 and by then we will know who the manager is, who our new signings are and which players have gone,” McGinn said.

“I pushed into the team last season and made a name for myself so my main aim next season is to hold down a place and play week-in, week-out.

“I think I gained enough experience last year to do that.”
