Mark Warburton: I'm only focused on my players
Rangers boss Mark Warburton claims it is not up to him whether the Ibrox side give up on their pursuit of Hibernian playmaker Scott Allan.
The Edinburgh club have rejected three bids from the Light Blues after insisting they will not sell their talented midfielder to their main Ladbrokes Championship title rivals.
But Allan - out of contract next summer - has already made it clear he wants to leave for the club he has supported since childhood after handing in a transfer request. Warburton said: "It's the same answer. He's not my player. I can't comment on another club's player.
"My only focus is on my staff and my players here at Murray Park.
"I don't get involved in that side of it at all. I don't mean to be rude but my job is here (at Murray Park) and what goes on away is the powers-that-be's.
"I wouldn't get involved in anything to do with another club's player. If another manager spoke about one of mine, I would be more that irritated. It's disrespectful."
