Reports: Neil Lennon's Hibernian join the race to sign Kyle Lafferty
Northern Ireland star Kyle Lafferty is on the lookout for a new club and, according to reports, the two Edinburgh rivals are going head to head for his signature.
Lafferty is understood to be in talks with Hearts over a move to Tynecastle. Were he to join the maroon half of Edinburgh, he would link up with Northern Ireland team-mate Aaron Hughes and former NI coach Austin MacPhee.
However, BBC Scotland and STV have both reported that Neil Lennon's Hibernian are keen to hijack their city rivals' move for the 29 year-old forward who left Norwich at the end of the season.
Lafferty has also been linked with a move to Azerbaijan champions Qarabag: Kyle Lafferty leaves door open over potential move to Azerbaijan.
Whenever he ends up, the Enniskillen man will be keen to get some much-needed game-time under his belt. Lafferty hasn't started a senior league match since 23 April 2016, when he was on loan at Birmingham City. He came off the bench in 12 Championship matches for Norwich last season and his lack of game time began to impact his international hopes.
