Michael O'Neill is still waiting for his first win as Northern Ireland manager

With a crucial World Cup double header coming up in a few weeks there are a few players who have hit form for their club recently and none more so than Ivan Sproule.

After scoring a double on his debut he has since gone on to score another three goals taking his tally to five in seven games since his January move to Ross County.

I know Michael O’Neill (right) was at the highland derby on Saturday (Ross County v Inverness) to check out Ivan, Sam Morrow and Billy McKay which shows Sproule has attracted the attention of the international manager.

He has put himself in a prime position to be in the squad and it’s certainly healthy that we have attacking players in top form for the two big games which loom large on the horizon.
