Stars rally in support of Seamus Coleman after Everton man suffers broken leg
Prominent football stars and celebrities were quick to express their support for Seamus Coleman on Twitter following the Everton star's horrific leg break in Dublin.
Former Evertonian Wayne Rooney (@WayneRooney) led by the way by tweeting: "Hope seamus Coleman gets better soon. Horrible tackle."
And proud Toffees fan Tony Bellew (@TonyBellew), who last month stunned former world heavyweight champion David Haye, posted: " All I'm thinking of right now is that @seamiecoleman23 is ok! #EFC"
Support for Coleman crossed the Liverpool divide, with former Reds striker John Aldridge (@realaldo474) admitting the incident had rendered the result of the match irrelevant.
Aldridge tweeted: " Can't talk about the draw!!absolutely gutted for Seamus Coleman!horrible break!It always seems to happen to the good guys!!"
Premier League rivals Arsenal (@Arsenal) tweeted their support, and Gunners right-back Hector Bellerin (@HectorBellerin) added: "Get well soon @seamiecoleman23!! #RightBackUnit".
Among the celebrities to express their support for Coleman was One Direction star Niall Horan (@NiallOfficial), who wrote: " Horrific what happened to Seamus Coleman tonight . Hope he recovers well".
And James Corden (@JKCorden) said: " Stay strong Seamus Coleman. Every true football fan wishes you a strong recovery x"
