Struggling Town look doomed

Published 17/11/2015

Warrenpoint Town are rooted to the bottom of the Danske Bank Premiership and harsh as it may seem to say, that's where they will stay.

I can't see any other outcome than them being relegated this season.

To be fair to them they did extremely well to stay up last season, but back then they were the surprise outfit in the Irish League and their players were determined to prove they belonged in the top division in Northern Ireland football.

They also had one of the best strikers around in Daniel Hughes who was so impressive that the big clubs including Linfield were keen on signing him.

Now though when teams face Warrenpoint they know what to expect, how they play and who their dangermen are and their results reflect that.

It is a very tall order for them to fight themselves away from the relegation zone and I'm sorry to say it's one I don't believe they will achieve.
