Swifts capable of holding their own against the big guns: Lowe

Kris Lowe says Dungannon Swifts will have to deal with increasing expectation after their impressive start to the season.

The Tyrone side are aiming to make it five games unbeaten against Ballymena United this afternoon.

They will start as favourites after excellent results against Cliftonville and Linfield in the last fortnight, but midfielder Lowe is wary that their improving form also brings added pressure.

"Recent results probably bring that wee bit more expectation, but there are no easy games in the Irish League," he said.

"We just have to focus on our own job and what we do best, without worrying too much about Ballymena.

"We will stick to our principles and hopefully it's enough to get us the points. We will be looking to win the game."

Lowe believes Dungannon have shown they are capable of matching anyone in the Danske Bank Premiership.

"I think we have proven to other teams out there what we can do against the top sides - the likes of Cliftonville and Linfield. Any team would be happy with four points from those two games, and we were absolutely delighted," he said.
