Brennan strikes late equaliser to earn Tyrone a replay

By Staff Reporter

Tyrone and Donegal must do it again after extra-time couldn't separate them in their Ulster U21 quarter-final at Healy Park. David Mulgrew, Paul Donaghy and Liam Rafferty helped the hosts to a 0-3 to 0-1 lead but Donegal led 0-5 to 0-4 at the break.

Michael Langan knocked over a '45' but Tyrone then got on top and went 0-9 to 0-7 in front.

Donegal rallied with two Langan frees either side of one from Tony McCleneghan. Johnny Harkin levelled and Lee Brennan put Tyrone in front before Langan forced extra-time (0-11 each).

Langan pointed again but Michael O'Neill replied with a shot that was tipped over by Danny Rodgers. Stephen McBrearty bagged a free but Mulgrew made it 0-13 each. McBrearty edged Donegal in front but a '45' for Brennan levelled matters again.
