Brawling GAA clubs set to learn their fate

Tuesday, 31 January 2012

The two clubs involved in the brawl that marred the All-Ireland Junior Club Football semi-final nine days ago are expected to learn their fate in the next 24 hours.

Both clubs -- Derrytresk of Tyrone and Dromid Pearses of Kerry -- were called to a meeting of the Central Competitions Control Committee (CCCC) in Portlaoise last night where they were asked, among other things, to identify certain individuals captured on the video getting involved in the fracas.

This was the second meeting that the CCCC have held over the match which was marred by an ugly brawl before half-time and an incident after the final whistle in which Kerry senior Declan O'Sullivan was assaulted.
