Carton blow for Dublin

Published 24/11/2010

Dublin hurling boss Anthony Daly has suffered a second blow in as many days, with the news that Michael Carton has opted out of the squad.

The 27-year-old missed most of last season due to injury, and has decided not to commit to the 2011 campaign.

His departure came a day after Kevin Flynn announced his retirement from inter-county hurling.

But Daly has recruited fresh talent in the form of former Tipperary player Ryan O'Dwyer.
