Donegal's Kevin Cassidy has reversed his decision to retire from inter-county football.
Cassidy, a former All-Star and Donegal captain, declared an end to his nine-year inter-county career in the wake of the heavy defeat to Armagh in the All-Ireland Qualifiers last June. But following talks with new manager Jim McGuinness, he has had a change of heart.
"I hope to be back playing some time early in the New Year. I suppose I was very disappointed after the Armagh match and that is why I decided to call it quits. But I have had a chat with manager Jim McGuinness and he has very important plans for the county going forward," said Cassidy.
