Cork off to flying start
Cork launched their NHL campaign with a 3-17 to 0-18 win over Waterford at Pairc Ui Rinn.
The Rebels laid the foundations with three first half goals, two of them from Paudie O'Sullivan, while Cathal Naughton also found th net to give them a 3-8 to 0-7 interval lead.
But the highlight of the evening was the performance of teenage star Conor Lehane, who struck seven sweet points from play.

DCU strolled to victory in the Sigerson Cup final, beating NUI Maynooth by 2-17 to 0-7 at Pearse Stadium, Galway.
Dublin's Paul Flynn, who finished with 1-3, and Sligo's David Kelly were the DCU goalscorers, while there were two points each from another Dublin pair, Dean Rock and David Kelly.
