Cork secure final spot

Valerie Mulcahy was Cork's hero with a 2-3 tally as the Rebelettes qualified for the All-Ireland Ladies football final with a 2-9 to 0-11 win over Munster rivals Kerry.

Mulcahy grabbed her first goal after eight minutes, and palmed home a second in the 28th minute to give her side a 2-5 to 0-7 lead at the break.

Cork played defensively in the second half as Kerry fought back with points from Louise Ni Mhuircheartaigh.

But the Leesiders held out to win by four and set up a meeting with Monaghan in the final on September 29.
