Curran takes rough with smooth

Johnny Curran has refused to take any credit for a stunning save without accepting responsibility for the goal that put his side under pressure.

The Coalisland goalkeeper pulled off a spectacular stop in injury time to deny Roslea a draw, and the Tyrone champions held out for a 1-10 to 1-7 win.

"I was waiting for a shot, and I knew it had to come high, because there were too many bodies in, and just I was lucky enough to get the hands to it, he hit it to the right part of the goal for me," he said.

But Curran admitted that he had made an error of judgement earlier in the second half when he tried to field a high ball, and was left to pick the leather out of the net after Sean Quigley beat him to it with his fist

"It was a rash mistake. With a man coming in on me, I took the wrong option trying to catch it."
