Antrim champions Cushendall edged closer to defending the Volunteer Cup on Sunday with a one point win over old rivals Loughgiel at Dunloy.

The match had been replayed after originally being abandoned the previous week following a medical emergency, when Paddy Watson, father of Loughgiel player Liam, took a heart attack. He is currently recovering at present.

Neil McManus showed his trademark accuracy from the dead ball in racking up eleven points, to overcome a 0-8 to 0-7 deficit at half-time.

John McKillop's side now face Ballycastle in the county final.
