Dawson takes Antrim job

Frank Dawson has been appointed as the new Antrim football manager.

He succeeds Liam Bradley, who stepped down in August after four years in charge.

Dawson was chosen by the county board as the preferred candidate, ahead of Gearoid Adams and Brian White.

A former Antrim Championship winner with St Gall's, Dawson enjoyed club management success with Burren, guiding them to two Down Championship titles.

He also had a spell as manager of the Down hurling team.
