Derry now light the way ahead

Two Allstars, a superb double helping of a rivetting county final eventually won by Glenullin and now the installation of a new floodlighting system at Celtic Park.

It's certainly all happening in Derry right now, both on and off the field of play.

A county which started 2007 on a decidedly low note is currently lapping up progress and the scene is set for what promises to be a memorable 2008.

The new floodlights at Celtic Park when completed will certainly lend an added dimension to the fixtures season.

And there could be cause for more celebrations in Derry this week-end should Kevin Lynch's (Dungiven) triumph in the AIB Ulster Club Hurling Final in which they will meet Antrim champions Dunloy at Casement Park.

Kevin Lynch's took the direct route to the decider while Dunloy overcame Ballycran in last Sunday's semi-final replay.
