Dr McKenna Cup: Tyrone 1-12 Antrim 0-10

Antrim's Martin Johnson wrestles with Tyrone's Ciaran Gervin during yesterday's Dr McKenna Cup clash at Casement Park

Tyrone remain undefeated but it took every ounce of effort, and greater experience, to push aside Antrim at Casement Park yesterday.

Substitute Stephen O'Neill was central to the win, with a haul of 1-3, and his injury-time goal slammed the door firmly shut on the home side.

Antrim led 0-5 to 0-3 at the break. Tyrone hit back in the second half before the home side got a grip of the action and scored three points to leave the minimum between the teams with six minutes to play.

O'Neill then got a point and his late goal was vital in securing a Tyrone win.
