Egan to make long-awaited return

Brendan Egan has returned to the Sligo squad following a two-year absence and goes straight into the team for Sunday's Connacht FBD League opener against Galway at Enniscrone.

Egan missed the last two seasons due to work commitments in Sweden, but his return is a major boost to manager Kevin Walsh.

He will play at midfield this weekend, alongside Tony Taylor, while Charlie Harrison will once again captain the Yeatsmen.

A number of newcomers will feature, including attacker David Maye, who was a member of last season's All-Ireland JFC winning team.
