Kilkenny could be in line for a new Centre of Excellence which would see the county hurlers' famous training sessions move from Nowlan Park.
A plan to develop a modern training centre on a former landfill site has been revealed.
A 20-acre site at Dunmore is being considered by the county council. The council has been asked by the Kilkenny County Board to investigate the possibility of developing a training facility on the site, which closed last year.
