Four walk out as Limerick woe worsens

Published 01/01/2010

The Limerick hurling crisis has deepened, with four more players walking out of Justin McCarthy's squad.

Gavin O'Mahoney, Tom Condon, Dinny Moloney and Stephen Walsh are the latest big names to quit.

The players want a change in management, but McCarthy was backed by county board delegates before Christmas to continue in the role.

He now faces a real crisis, with Limerick due to play Cork or UCC in the Waterford Crystal Cup quarter final on January 24.
