GAA address payment issues

County secretaries and chairmen could be asked to sign affidavits stating that no illegal payments are being made to team managers.

The Sunday Independent reports that the proposal is being considered by the GAA top brass at a time when GAA director-general Paraic Duffy is preparing a discussion paper on unofficial payments.

"It will outline why I see this as an issue and present some ideas on how we can address it," he said.
